Do we need to pay a deposit?

 

Yes - I ask for a 25% deposit to secure your booking.  Once your deposit is paid, your booking is confirmed and all deposits are non-refundable.  You can pay by cash, card or if you're really old school then I can accept cheque, but your booking is not confirmed until the payment has cleared.

 

Can we meet you for a chat before we book?

 

Absolutely!  I'm more than happy to meet you before you decide to book with me, but even after you have booked, I'm always free for a coffee and a chat to discuss your wedding!  I'm based in West Yorkshire so anywhere local is fine with me, but if you live further away then we can always arrange a video call instead.

 

Once we've booked, when does the final balance need to be paid?

 

The final balance needs to be paid three months before your wedding.  We'll agree an exact date when you first book in with me!

 

What areas do you cover?

 

I will travel anywhere in the UK if you want me to!  Up to one hour of travel time from Pontefract, West Yorkshire is included within my normal price, after that it's 45p per mile.  If you need me to travel more than three hours from home then I also require an additional £150 at the time of booking to cover the cost of a hotel.  Driving in the early hours after a day of taking your photos isn't the safest - even with all the Taylor Swift karaoke you can ask for!

 

How do we book?

 

All you need to do is send me a message via the contact me page or email me directly on nick@nickcolemanphotography.co.uk Please ensure you include the date and location of your wedding as well as a contact number for you.  I'll then get in touch with you as soon as I can to a) thank you and b) discuss things in more detail!

 

What if we need to change the date or cancel?

 

If your plans change, then don't panic!  If you need to make a change, I can book a new date with you as long as your original booking is more than three months away and providing I am available.  If you need to cancel, then your deposit is non-refundable.  If you have also paid your final balance and your wedding is within the next three months then the full amount is non-refundable. 

 

What if you need to cancel your booking?

 

Please know that I will drag myself to your wedding unless I am so unwell that I can't make it.  If this was to happen (it never has yet) then all money paid would be refunded via bank transfer as soon as I am aware I won't be there.  I'll also do my very best to put you in touch with other photographers who may be able to help.  However, please be reassured that I don't plan on you EVER needing to do this!

 

How do we receive our images, how many will there be and when will we get them?

 

As soon as I have downloaded your images from my camera, I get to work on finalising your shots and removing all the ones of your uncle who always has his eyes closed.  I aim to get between five and ten images over to you via email within a week of your wedding so you can post them on insta!  After that, it takes up to four weeks for me to finish editing your images and get them to you.  We'll discuss how you want to receive them but there is the option of an online gallery which is password protected and allows you to download them, or I can post you a cute USB stick with them on.  If you want to receive them another way, then let me know and we can discuss!  For most weddings, you'll receive between 400 and 500 images but there is no limit to how many you'll get - whichever look good!  If you really want to, I can send you the Pixar-esque outtakes too!

 

What if it rains?

 

Then we'll get wet!  Honestly, please don't panic if it rains - I'll make sure I still get amazing images of your day.  If you're happy to, then I have no problem taking images outside in the rain (it actually looks really cool) but if you'd prefer to keep your hair dry then we can move indoors instead!

 

Are you insured?

 

I am indeed.  I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance and I'm happy to provide proof of this if you or your venue need it.  

 

Do you need feeding on the day?

 

I don't expect you to feed me, but if you do then even better for me!  I just ask that you let me know in advance so I can ask my wife to make me a packed lunch...

 

What is a 'pre-wedding shoot' and do we really need one?

 

A pre-wedding shoot is just a relaxed shoot where you'll receive between ten and twenty images.  These give me an idea of how you are in front of the camera, get you comfortable with me and also, it's a good laugh!  We can do these at a location of your choice, or I can discuss suitable locations with you if needed.  The cost is included within your booking, but if you really don't like the sound of it then we can give it a miss!

 

Who owns the copyright of our images?

 

When you receive your images, you have personal use licence for all of them.  This means you can print them, share them online, make your own album or share them with friends.  The copyright remains with me ands your photos may be used for marketing purposes such as social media and my website.  However, if there are any images you would prefer me not to use, then please let me know.
